Doron Tsabari, senior lecturer at the School of Audio and Visual Arts, broke the Internet with “Magash Hakesef”. Haven’t you seen it yet? All of the episodes appear for direct viewing at the end of “The Marker” article attached here. How did “Magash Hakesef” spread like wildfire on the Internet – and what is the connection to Stav Shafir? Also: Is the next stage another social protest – and what are its chances?
More than a million viewings were listed over the last ten days for the documentary “Magash Hakesef” http://www.themarker.com/magazine/1.2767830 , created by Doron Tsabari and Amir Ben David. Even if the number of viewers is significantly lower, the intensity of responses to the series is exceptional considering its genre. Basically, it tells of three middle-age men who stand for three hours in front of a board, drawing graphs and reiterating – with occasional pompous and superfluous determination, as customary on TV – ideas that they have been sounding in one fashion or another for 5 to 20 years.
