Congratulations to Sapir graduate Idan Haguel whose film “Inertia” won Honorable Mention Award at the Utopia Festival that closed last week!

In the 2015 Utopia Festival on Tuesday December 15th, the film “Inertia” won Honorable Mention Award – among the judges’ reasons – “For its visual representation of the absurd”.

The judges were Annick Mahnert (Switzerland), leading figure in acquisition and distribution of genre films, as well as film producer and program director of Fantastic Fest, Austin, Texas – the biggest genre film festival in the USA; Alexandre O. Philippe (USA), film director known particularly for his documentary films “The People vs. George Lucas” and “Doc of the Dead”; Lindsey Peters (Canada), who leads the industry branch of Fantasia Festival, Montreal, as well as directing the international co-production market Frontières, which focuses on genre films, in Brussels and Montreal.
